Tuesday, July 11, starting at 4 p.m. through Thursday, July 13 ending at 2 p.m.

The three-day retreat consists of:

  • Prayer at the beginning and ending of each day
  • Presentations by John Philip, focusing on teachings from the Celtic tradition
  • Meditative practices
  • Silence and
  • Sharing.

There is free time to hike and rest as well as a party on the second evening to celebrate our time together.

The foundational text is Newell’s Listening for the Heartbeat of God: A Celtic Spirituality. This is required reading for participants. Each year’s teaching reflects on teachings from this stream of Celtic consciousness, which stretches from Pelagius in the 4th century Celtic Britain through to Teilhard de Chardin, a 20th-century resurrection of the ancient French Celtic stream.

Although each year is accessible to anyone joining us for the first time (especially if they have read Listening for the Heartbeat of God), those coming back year after year will have a sense of progression.
