Distinguished Visiting Scholar of Spirituality John Philip Newell
Iliff’s Distinguished Visiting Scholar of Spirituality the Rev Dr John Philip Newell will outline his gratitude to the 13th-century Islamic Scholar and Poet, Jelaluddin Rumi, and invite us to look to the wisdom of other faiths as part of our well being. The great spiritual traditions of humanity are given not to compete with one another but to complete one another. The evening lecture will envisage how religion can play a major role in peacemaking.
